Cari Maconochie joined Da Vinci Schools in 2014. Originally from Richmond, Virginia. She graduated with a double major with a Bachelors in Art Education and Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also studied and played varsity soccer for a year at Longwood University in Farmville Virginia. She previously taught grades 6-8 at a public school in Virginia for five years, and taught 6-8 at a charter school in South LA for one year. She has experience coaching boys and girls soccer and Students Run LA. Her fine arts focus was in mixed media with a concentration in Glass Working. She enjoys working in 3-dimension incorporating layers and textures which reflect her personal life experiences. Her background training is in glass blowing, fusing glass, slumping glass, stained glass, metal working, painting, wheel throwing, clay hand-building, drawing, Photoshop, graphic design, and photography. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband John and son Logan, doing CrossFit, riding bikes with her dogs, running marathons, and creating her own art.
